Renowned Folk Musician Ismail El-Laythi Dies Following Serious Accident in Minya

Ismail El-Laythi, a well-known folk musician, died today at the age of 37 after suffering injuries in a serious accident in Mallawi, located in Minya province.
The artist was admitted to the hospital in critical condition, arriving "in a complete coma," according to a medical source. Initial examinations revealed a "skull injury and bleeding under the meninges," necessitating immediate treatment with ventilators.
Just two hours later, his condition deteriorated further, leading to his transfer to the intensive care unit and the use of a ventilator due to respiratory failure. The medical team attempted to manage the situation by treating the "brain bleeding with medication that reduced it, though it did not stop completely."
The medical source indicated that an urgent surgical intervention was necessary, as he required an emergency operation to address the brain bleeding. However, his critical condition posed significant challenges, as "his health did not allow for surgery due to the ventilator, which presents risks during anesthesia." This led doctors to resort to a medication-based approach in a desperate attempt to save his life.
The source added that despite "other scattered injuries on the singer's body," these were "not life-threatening compared to the severe head injury."
It is noteworthy that the late Ismail El-Laythi experienced a significant personal crisis last year, having lost his son in a tragic accident when the child fell from their tenth-floor balcony, causing immense grief for him and his family.
His personal life also faced turmoil, with a separation from his wife for several months before they recently reconciled and resumed their married life.
According to reports, "his body will be transported to Cairo in the coming hours for burial, and a mourning ceremony will be held in his hometown."
