Apple Launches 'iPhone Pocket' in Collaboration with Issey Miyake for $230

In a move that merges technology with fashion, Apple has unveiled a new accessory named "iPhone Pocket" in collaboration with renowned Japanese fashion house Issey Miyake. This luxurious small bag is designed to carry iPhones along with other small items such as headphones or keys.
The accessory employs 3D knitting technology, resulting in a flexible design that can be worn in multiple ways: by hand, as a small crossbody bag, or attached to a larger bag. Its mesh-like design reveals its contents when stretched, and it comes in various colors that complement different iPhone models.
The "iPhone Pocket" is available in two versions:
The short version priced at $149.95, available in colors like Lime, Orange, Purple, Pink, Peacock Blue, and Black.
The long version priced at $229.95, offered in three colors: Blue, Cinnamon, and Black.
Molly Anderson, Vice President of Industrial Design at Apple, stated that the product embodies the spirit of simplicity and craftsmanship that connects Apple and Issey Miyake, while also evoking nostalgia for the era of Steve Jobs, who famously wore black Miyake jackets on stage. This collaboration serves as a symbolic bridge between technology and fashion.
Despite limited availability, the product is expected to spark discussions online due to its relatively high price, which some have described as "a luxury piece of fabric at the cost of a mid-range smartphone," potentially leading to a wave of imitations and inspired versions.
