Ukrainian Intelligence Reveals Russian Plans for Increased Glide Bomb Production

Ukrainian intelligence sources have disclosed that Russia intends to ramp up its glide bomb production to 120,000 units this year, which includes 500 new long-range bombs capable of flying up to 200 kilometers.
This substantial increase is part of an escalating arms race that has intensified since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, with Russian munitions factories reportedly operating around the clock to boost their ammunition and missile stockpiles.
Major General Vadim Skibitsky, deputy head of the Ukrainian military intelligence, confirmed a notable rise in the production of glide bombs, which are equipped with wings and small engines that allow them to cover long distances before reaching their targets.
According to Ukrainian intelligence, Russian forces are currently launching between 200 and 250 glide bombs daily, with an average of 170 bombs fired per day in the previous month.
Kiev anticipates that Moscow will soon commence large-scale production of the new model of these long-range bombs, aiming to manufacture 500 units of this type by the end of the year.
