Approximately 250 individuals lost their lives in attacks carried out by the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) in Pakistan's Balochistan province over the weekend, followed by violent confrontations with security forces, according to a security official who spoke to "France Presse" on Wednesday.

Casualties Among Civilians and Security Forces

The official noted that the assaults resulted in at least 36 civilian deaths and 22 security personnel fatalities, while the response from the Pakistan Armed Forces was robust, leading to the deaths of 197 BLA members.

The province experienced multiple sporadic clashes, with insurgents attacking banks, military installations, prisons, and police stations. The BLA, designated as a "terrorist organization" by the United States, has confirmed it targeted military facilities and police and civilian officials through gunfire and suicide attacks.
