Tragic Deaths of Three Sisters in India Raise Concerns Over Digital Addiction

A tragic incident in Ghaziabad, India, has resulted in the deaths of three sisters who fell from the balcony of their ninth-floor apartment. Local authorities have launched a thorough investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Preliminary findings indicate potential issues related to digital addiction, although there is no direct evidence linking the deaths to a specific online game.

According to police reports, the sisters, aged between 12 and 16, had been spending extensive hours playing online games, despite a recent ban on mobile phone usage imposed by their family.
However, security officials confirmed that there is currently no definitive evidence connecting their deaths to any particular online game.

Emotional insights have emerged from a letter discovered in a diary left by the girls, which aims to shed light on their motivations and psychological state prior to the incident.

The girls' father noted that his daughters were deeply interested in video games and Korean culture, revealing that they had largely remained indoors and had not attended school for approximately two years. They had expressed a strong desire to travel to Korea.

The mobile phone ban may have exacerbated their psychological distress.

The deputy police commissioner suggested that the family's recent decision to restrict the girls' phone usage could have contributed to their deteriorating mental health, emphasizing that investigations are ongoing to clarify all aspects of the case.

This incident has reignited discussions about the risks of social isolation and digital addiction among teenagers, highlighting the urgent need for increased parental oversight and mental health support for young people.
