A coordinated security operation conducted by the Syrian Anti-Drug Administration in Homs province on Thursday, in collaboration with Iraqi authorities, resulted in the arrest of two individuals identified as internationally wanted suspects, "T.H" and "U.D". The operation also led to the seizure of around 300,000 Captagon pills that were destined for smuggling.
Authorities reported that the confiscated drugs have been secured, and the detainees have been handed over to judicial authorities for further investigation. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen national strategies against drug trafficking and enhance border security.
Officials noted that this operation is part of a broader series of collaborative campaigns between Syria and neighboring countries aimed at dismantling drug trafficking networks and apprehending individuals involved in illegal drug trade.
