Egyptian Actors' Union President Files Complaint Against Blogger for Offensive Content

Ashraf Zaki, the President of the Actors' Union in Egypt, has submitted an official complaint to the Supreme Media Regulatory Council against the blogger known as "Um Jaser." This action follows the release of a video on her Facebook account that the union has deemed offensive and inappropriate.

The complaint is part of a legal escalation after the Actors' Union decided to halt the series "Ruh OFF" due to organizational violations, including the contract with "Um Jaser" being made without the necessary approvals from the union, which constitutes a clear breach of artistic work regulations.

The union reiterated its commitment to enforcing laws governing the profession and rejected any content or practices that undermine the dignity of the artistic community or insult its members.
