Lebanese Ski Champion's Video with Child Sparks Debate on Social Media

In recent days, a video circulating on social media has sparked significant debate after showing a skier in Lebanon's Cedars region skiing with her child on her back.
The video has elicited divided opinions among viewers:
Some praised her bravery and impressive skills, while others expressed concerns about the safety of the child.
It was later revealed that the skier is Nouh Kairouz, the Lebanese ski champion of 2018.
In a television interview on Thursday morning, Nouh confirmed that the scene was spontaneous and natural, explaining that she typically takes her child skiing to introduce them to the sport from a young age, emphasizing that her child enjoys these snowy outings.
Addressing the criticism she received, Nouh acknowledged the concerns of some individuals, particularly those who may not be skilled skiers. However, she stressed that no one is more concerned about her child's safety than she is and that she would never expose them to danger.
She added that her child was secured in a special child carrier and that she had taken all necessary precautions to ensure their safety, even in the event of a fall.
This incident occurs during a period when Lebanon is experiencing a severe storm, with heavy rainfall and snowfall in the mountainous areas, making skiing in the region even more thrilling and noteworthy on social media.
