Egypt and Turkey Collaborate to Ensure Gaza Ceasefire Implementation

Following his meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Abdel Atty noted that discussions also addressed the U.S. proposal for deploying an international stabilization force. He emphasized the necessity of ensuring the longevity of the ceasefire agreement and avoiding a return to military escalation.
He added that dialogue with Washington regarding mechanisms for sending an international monitoring force will continue, stressing that Egypt and Turkey will exert the necessary diplomatic pressure to guarantee the full implementation of the agreement and prevent security setbacks in the Gaza Strip.
Abdel Atty's visit to Ankara is part of a meeting of the joint Egyptian-Turkish planning group, which aims to coordinate regional efforts regarding Gaza and enhance collaboration in reconstruction and stabilization efforts.
