Trump Clashes with CNN Reporter Over Epstein Victims During Press Conference

Amid increasing scrutiny following the release of new documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, who died by suicide in prison in 2019, President Donald Trump made pointed remarks during a White House press conference yesterday. He asserted that his name was not mentioned in the newly released files and emphasized the need to focus on issues that matter to Americans.
The press conference took a contentious turn when CNN correspondent Kaitlan Collins pressed Trump on the fate of Epstein's victims and their pursuit of justice, asking:
"What do you say to those who feel they have not received justice?"
Trump reacted with visible anger, labeling Collins as "the worst journalist" and accusing her of bringing shame to her profession. He added:
"Do you know why you’re not smiling? Because you’re not telling the truth... Your fake institution should be ashamed of you."
Collins stood her ground, emphasizing her concern for the survivors and their quest for justice, as the tension between Trump and the media, particularly the network he frequently criticizes, continued to escalate.
These remarks come at a time when Americans are reevaluating the Epstein case, which has been marred by serious allegations of child exploitation and human trafficking. Epstein had previously faced a controversial plea deal in 2008 and was arrested again in 2019 before his death, which has fueled numerous conspiracy theories due to his connections with various political and celebrity figures.
While Trump seeks to redirect American attention to other issues, he remains unreserved in his attacks on the media that address Epstein's troubling legacy, highlighting the ongoing friction between him and the American press.
