Controversial London Dinner Featuring Lamine Yamal's Mother Sparks Debate

Reports from the UK indicate that an event management company in London organized a private dinner to celebrate an anniversary, featuring Sheila Ibana, the mother of young FC Barcelona player Lamine Yamal, as a special guest.
The dinner took place at a hotel in the British capital, where attendees were offered the chance to meet Sheila and take photos with her. According to the "Daily Mail," the VIP package was priced at £313 (around €350), which included premium seating, unlimited drinks, and photo opportunities with Sheila.
Sheila, originally from Equatorial Guinea, typically prefers to stay out of the spotlight, in contrast to her husband, Monir Nasraoui, whose visibility has increased following their son's rise to fame. Despite this, she has amassed over 360,000 followers on Instagram.
Interestingly, Sheila refrained from discussing her son's career during the event, sidestepping numerous inquiries about Yamal, who recently finished second in the Ballon d'Or rankings. This raised questions about her participation in a paid event, especially since her son reportedly earns around £270,000 per week with FC Barcelona.
The event has ignited a broader discussion in European sports media regarding the commercialization of celebrity status within families and the challenges of maintaining a boundary between public personas and private family life.
