The legal advisor for artist Sherine Abdel Wahab, Yasser Qantouch, has issued an official statement cautioning the public against engaging with any of Sherine's social media accounts without her or her legal representative's consent, stating that legal action will be pursued against violators.
Investigations are currently underway regarding the management of Sherine's channels.
Qantouch noted that investigations are ongoing into the individual accused of managing Sherine's pages without authorization, who has been accused of taking control of her YouTube channel for personal profit. He emphasized that some outlets have circulated rumors about the potential sale of the channel, which has been officially denied.
Only Sherine can confirm ownership of her accounts.
The lawyer stressed that all of the artist's pages are her exclusive property, officially registered in legal documents and under investigation by the prosecutor's office. He warned that no one has the right to manage these accounts without her consent, urging caution against false information or illegal dealings with the accounts.
Firm legal actions will follow.
Qantouch confirmed that any unauthorized dealings with Sherine's accounts will be pursued legally, exposing offenders to legal liability. This follows a ruling by the economic appeals court in January that cleared the artist of defamation charges against the manager of her pages in a legal dispute over the passwords to her accounts.
