Nuclear Talks Between Washington and Tehran Stalled Over Format Disputes

U.S. officials announced today, Wednesday, that plans to resume nuclear negotiations with Iran are facing potential collapse following Tehran's rejection of the previously agreed format.

Officials explained that Iran has requested to change the venue and format of the talks from Istanbul to Muscat, a modification that the United States has rejected, asserting that any changes must remain within the original framework.

A White House envoy confirmed that Washington remains willing to meet with Iranian representatives, provided that the original negotiation conditions are met, warning that failure to reach an agreement could lead the U.S. to consider alternative options.

Iran, for its part, insists on limiting any future discussions to nuclear issues and the lifting of sanctions, refusing to broaden the scope to include other topics.
