Support from Friends: Sherine Abdel Wahab's Health Crisis Explained by Her Brother

Mohammed Abdel Wahab, brother of singer Sherine Abdel Wahab, has publicly shared details regarding his sister's health crisis, stating that much of the information circulating about the involvement of artists in her care is largely inaccurate.
In a post on Facebook, Mohammed emphasized that only Zina and singer Ahmed Saad provided genuine assistance to Sherine, while artist Mahmoud El Leithy visited her home regularly.
He explained that their involvement stemmed from a longstanding friendship with Sherine, predating her fame, and was not motivated by media attention. Despite their efforts to keep the situation private, they faced scrutiny from a funded media campaign that sparked controversy.
Mohammed attributed the family's distancing from Sherine to the turmoil in her life, noting that previous attempts to support her had ceased four years ago due to rumors suggesting financial gain for the family, which ultimately hindered her treatment.
He also provided details about her hospitalization, stating:
When Sherine experienced health issues, Zina promptly visited and took her to a nearby air hospital, where doctors performed an endoscopy. Due to the sedation she received, Sherine was unable to drive home and was transported by ambulance.
Mohammed concluded by reaffirming that the support from Zina and Ahmed Saad was rooted in their long-standing friendship with Sherine, and despite their attempts to maintain privacy, they were drawn into a media campaign that generated further controversy.
