US Efforts to Establish Humanitarian Ceasefire and Civil Transition in Sudan

Masad Boulos, senior advisor to President Donald Trump on African and Arab affairs, announced on Saturday that the United States is actively working to establish conditions for a humanitarian ceasefire in Sudan, as fighting continues and humanitarian conditions worsen.

Boulos emphasized during discussions on Sudan that collaborative efforts with involved parties aim to support a comprehensive transition process leading to a civilian government that reflects the aspirations of the Sudanese people and brings an end to the instability in the country.
