Implementation of Security and Administrative Agreement with SDF
The meeting was part of the implementation of a recent security and administrative agreement between the Syrian government and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), which includes a ceasefire and the deployment of state internal security forces in the cities of Al-Hasaka and Qamishli, along with the restoration of state institutions in Kurdish areas.
Deployment of Internal Security Forces in Qamishli
On Tuesday, internal security forces entered Qamishli in northeastern Syria, following their deployment on Monday in Al-Hasaka and the Al-Shuyukh area south of Ain al-Arab (Kobane) in eastern Aleppo, as part of a plan to restructure security and administrative authorities.
Integration of SDF Units into the Syrian Army
The agreement also includes the integration of three SDF brigades into the Syrian army and the formation of a special brigade for the Kobane Forces, aimed at reinforcing the unity of the Syrian state and eliminating security divisions in the northeastern region.
