The Directorate of Companies within the Syrian Ministry of Economy and Trade has reported that the total number of registered companies in Syria has surpassed 18,000 this year, representing an increase of 9,348 compared to the previous year. This surge indicates a notable rise in economic activity following the country's recent liberation.

The ministry detailed that among the new registrations, there were 13,600 individual commercial registrations, 1,526 partnership companies, 158 limited partnership companies, 63 joint-stock companies, and 2,678 limited liability companies.

This growth has been attributed to the ministry's initiatives aimed at enhancing services for investors, streamlining the company registration process, and improving operational organization. Additionally, the Directorate of Companies has undergone rehabilitation to offer more efficient and high-quality services.

Last July, the directorate inaugurated its new headquarters in Damascus, following extensive renovations intended to boost performance and facilitate business transactions.

Statistics reveal that from the beginning of 2025 until the end of September, 11,100 companies were registered, indicating a rapid increase in registrations, particularly in the last quarter of the year.
