Speaking to the DHA news agency, Özdemir described how the unsolicited stares and negative reactions from strangers have become a daily challenge for him, leading to his decision to alter his appearance.

Özdemir stated that he plans to modify his hairstyle and grow a beard, despite his personal dislike for these changes, in an effort to separate himself from Epstein's widely recognized image. He emphasized, "I am not Epstein. A person like that should not be associated with Kayseri."
