Ukraine Warns of Increased Russian Production of Glide Bombs

Ukrainian intelligence sources have disclosed that Russia aims to significantly boost its glide bomb production to 120,000 units this year, including 500 new long-range bombs capable of reaching targets up to 200 kilometers away.
This substantial increase is part of an arms race that has intensified since Russia's large-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, with Russian defense factories reportedly operating around the clock to enhance their stockpiles of munitions and missiles.
Brigadier General Vadim Skibitsky, deputy head of Ukrainian military intelligence, confirmed a notable rise in the manufacturing of glide bombs, which are equipped with wings and small engines that allow them to travel long distances before striking their targets.
According to Ukrainian intelligence, Russian forces are currently launching between 200 and 250 glide bombs daily, compared to an average of 170 bombs per day last month.
Kiev anticipates that Moscow will soon commence large-scale production of the new long-range bomb model, with a target of producing 500 units by the end of the year.
