King Charles III Celebrates 77th Birthday by Driving a Tram in Wales

King Charles III celebrated his 77th birthday in a notable fashion, appearing in a video while driving a modern tram at a metro station in South Wales. This event was part of an official visit aimed at showcasing development projects for the public transport network in the area.
Meanwhile, artillery in London fired a traditional salute in honor of the king's birthday.
The king appeared cheerful in the driver's cabin, undeterred by the rain that accompanied his reception alongside Queen Camilla in Wales. He participated in the celebration of the 200th anniversary of Caerphilly Castle and inaugurated a new railway station, engaging in a full schedule of official duties, as he has done frequently since his accession to the throne.
According to the "Daily Express," King Charles—who announced a cancer diagnosis in February 2024—has recorded a record number of official engagements since becoming king in September 2022. These include welcoming former U.S. President Donald Trump at Windsor Castle, as well as brief visits abroad to Canada and the Vatican, where he prayed with Pope Leo XIII last month.
Despite ongoing speculation regarding his health, the king has appeared well during public appearances, dispelling rumors of a decline in his condition. However, Buckingham Palace has yet to disclose the specific type of cancer he is facing, leaving questions about his health status, according to royal expert Robert Jobson.
