Liberman: No Second Phase in Gaza Without Meeting Conditions

Avigdor Liberman, the leader of the Yisrael Beiteinu party, stated on Wednesday that Israel must adhere to the terms of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza as set forth in President Donald Trump's plan. He argued that any violation of these terms would weaken Israel's standing and affect the course of the agreement.

Liberman specified that the second phase in Gaza cannot commence until the remains of the last Israeli abductee are returned, emphasizing that this condition represents a humanitarian and security issue on which there can be no compromise.

He also noted that the disarmament of Hamas is a crucial condition for ensuring Israel's security and preventing future conflicts.

Liberman's remarks come at a time when international parties are discussing the initiation of the second phase of the agreement, which includes the establishment of a transitional Palestinian administration and comprehensive reconstruction of the region. His stance reflects a hardening political trend that demands strict security guarantees before any progress in the political process.
