Jodie Foster Highlights Lack of Arab Cinema Exposure in the U.S.

During her participation in the Marrakech International Film Festival, American actress and director Jodie Foster pointed out that Arab cinema does not receive adequate distribution in the United States. She remarked that its absence is particularly noticeable when compared to other global cinematic experiences.

Foster also noted that Iranian cinema has managed to secure a significant presence at major international festivals, making it more accessible to Western audiences. In contrast, she stated that Arab cinema requires more opportunities to showcase its works and amplify its voice to international viewers.
