Fairouz Bids Farewell to Son Hélie Rahbani in Heartfelt Ceremony

Lebanese singer Fairouz appeared today, Saturday, visibly marked by grief, during the condolence reception for her son Hélie Rahbani, who passed away at the age of 68.

Fairouz held a bouquet of white flowers inscribed with:
"To my dear son"
in a poignant moment that highlighted the deep bond she shared with Hélie Rahbani, who had spent many years away from the spotlight due to his struggles with paralysis and mental disability.

Condolence Ceremony
Fairouz sat in black attire at the condolence reception at Notre-Dame de la Dormition church in Bickfaya, Lebanon, alongside her daughter Rima, who is regarded as her last surviving child. The emotion was clearly visible on her face throughout the ceremony.

Burial Next to His Late Brother

Local media reports indicated that Hélie Rahbani's body will be laid to rest alongside his late brother Ziad Rahbani in a special burial site in the garden of Fairouz's home in Chouweir, in accordance with his personal wishes.

Successive Loss of Her Children

Hélie Rahbani is the third child Fairouz has lost, following the passing of Ziad Rahbani and her daughter Layal, who died in 1988 at the age of 29. This leaves Rima, born in 1965, as the only surviving child of the renowned singer.
