UN Reports Severe Flooding in Gaza as Israel Denies Humanitarian Aid

UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric reported today that heavy rainfall has inundated hundreds of tents and temporary shelters in the Gaza Strip, putting thousands of families at risk from extreme weather due to a lack of infrastructure and limited humanitarian assistance.

He further stated that Israel has rejected 23 requests to deliver approximately 4,000 pallets of essential supplies to Gaza, including tents, exacerbating the plight of civilians living in deteriorating humanitarian conditions.

In a separate context, Dujarric confirmed that Israeli presence and construction on Lebanese territory violate UN Security Council Resolution 1701, as well as Lebanon's sovereignty and territorial integrity, urging respect for international law and a halt to any activities that could destabilize the region.
