"Avatar: The Fire and Ash" Earns $345 Million Worldwide in Opening Week

As reported by Reuters, the film secured the second position for the highest opening week revenues in 2025 in Hollywood, trailing behind "Zootopia 2", which earned $556 million last November.
Domestically, the film led box office sales in the United States and Canada with earnings of $88 million, although this reflects a 35% decrease compared to its predecessor, "Avatar: The Way of Water", which was released in 2022.
Jeff Bock, senior box office analyst at Exhibitor Relations, remarked, "This is a strong start for the holiday season," emphasizing the audience's eagerness to return to theaters during the Christmas and New Year period.
It is noteworthy that the original "Avatar" film from 2009 grossed $2.9 billion globally, while the sequel "Avatar: The Way of Water" earned approximately $2.3 billion, continuing Cameron's remarkable success at the box office.
