Ukrainian Intelligence Uncovers Russian Plan for Increased Glide Bomb Production

Ukrainian intelligence sources have disclosed that Russia intends to ramp up its glide bomb production to 120,000 units this year, which includes 500 new long-range bombs capable of reaching targets up to 200 kilometers away.
This substantial increase is part of an arms race that has intensified since Russia's large-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, with Russian defense factories operating around the clock to bolster their stockpile of munitions and missiles.
Major General Vadim Skibitsky, deputy chief of Ukrainian military intelligence, confirmed a significant rise in the manufacturing of glide bombs, which are equipped with wings and small engines that enable them to cover long distances before hitting their targets.
According to Ukrainian intelligence, Russian forces are currently launching between 200 and 250 glide bombs daily, compared to an average of 170 bombs per day recorded last month.
Kiev is expected to initiate large-scale production of a new model of these long-range bombs in the near future, with plans to produce 500 of these bombs by the end of the year.
