Stefan Selier, the Special Envoy of the UN Development Program in Palestine, expressed grave concerns on Tuesday regarding the deteriorating humanitarian conditions in Gaza. In remarks made to Al Jazeera, he emphasized that the crisis requires immediate attention as the fundamental needs of the population continue to worsen.
Selier noted that the infrastructure in Gaza is facing a significant collapse and underscored the urgent need for improvements. He also highlighted the necessity of providing tents and relief supplies due to the harsh conditions faced by hundreds of thousands of displaced individuals.
He added that many bodies remain buried under the rubble, reflecting the scale of the humanitarian catastrophe that has yet to be addressed. Selier confirmed the need for increased international efforts to recover victims and urgently support those affected.
