Tottenham's Thomas Frank Sparks Controversy with Arsenal Cup Incident

In a recent incident that raised eyebrows among football fans, Thomas Frank, manager of Tottenham Hotspur, was spotted holding a cup featuring the logo of rival club Arsenal during his team's match against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.
The image quickly circulated on social media, prompting fans to question why a Spurs manager would be seen with an Arsenal cup.
During the post-match press conference, Frank addressed the situation, labeling the speculation as "utterly foolish."
He stated: "I certainly didn't notice it, and it would be completely silly to intentionally hold a cup with the Arsenal logo. It's just a regular cup for an espresso that was in the locker room after the last Arsenal game."
As for the match, Tottenham suffered a 3-2 defeat, having initially taken the lead with a goal from Mathys Tel in the fifth minute.
However, Bournemouth turned the game around with two goals from Evander and Eli Junior Kroupi, before João Palhinha equalized with a stunning overhead kick in the 78th minute.
In the dying moments, Antoine Semenyo scored the winning goal for Bournemouth before his transfer to Manchester City.
With this loss, Tottenham continues its rocky start to 2026, remaining winless and sitting in 14th place in the Premier League with 27 points, having won only two of their last 12 matches.
The team's next fixture will be at home against Aston Villa in the FA Cup on Saturday, followed by a league match against West Ham United a week later.
It appears that all eyes will remain on Frank and the Arsenal cup as the Spurs aim to stabilize their season moving forward.
