Iran's Judiciary Chief Vows No Leniency for Disturbers of Peace

Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejei, the head of Iran's judiciary, stated on Sunday that authorities are committed to taking decisive action against individuals he refers to as "disturbers of peace," asserting that there will be no leniency towards them.

Ejei noted that prosecutors in various provinces have been given clear directives to enforce the law strictly against those engaging in or supporting acts of destruction, while distinguishing between peaceful protesters advocating for their economic rights and those attempting to exploit the situation to destabilize security.

His comments come amid ongoing protests in Iran, where authorities believe some foreign entities are backing these movements. Human rights organizations have reported numerous fatalities and widespread arrests in recent days.

This stance reflects the Iranian regime's tendency to tighten security measures while maintaining an official rhetoric that acknowledges the right to peaceful protests.
