Egyptian Artists Sherif Salama and Dalia Mustafa Announce Separation After 21 Years of Marriage

After more than two decades of marriage, Egyptian artist Sherif Salama has officially announced his separation from his wife, fellow artist Dalia Mustafa. The couple has two children together.
A source close to Salama revealed that the decision to divorce followed over a year of conflicts between the couple, despite various attempts by friends to mend their relationship.
The source added that the divorce proceedings took place at their shared residence, attended by Salama, a divorce official, and Mustafa's father, after they reached agreements on matters related to their shared life, particularly concerning their sons who are at different educational stages and require special care.
According to the source, Dalia Mustafa became emotional and cried out as the divorce was finalized, while her father and brother tried to comfort her. She insisted that their sons not be present during the proceedings and requested that they stay with a relative until everything was settled, as the divorce occurred in the home where she lives with the children.
Salama and Mustafa first met while she was studying at the theater academy, leading to a romance that culminated in marriage in 2004. They welcomed their daughter Salma, followed by their son Selim two years later.
It has been reported that significant conflicts arose between the couple about a year ago, prompting Salama to leave their shared home before the decision for an official separation was made.
This separation marks the end of a long journey of love and marriage lasting over two decades, with the well-being of their children remaining a shared priority to ensure their psychological and educational stability.
