Lebanese Military Court Postpones Hearing for Artist Fadel Shaker to February 12

The session was presided over by Brigadier General Waseem Fayyad, with Prosecutor Judge Nidal Al-Shaer and Shaker's attorney, Amata Mubarak, in attendance.
Closed-Door Session
According to the Lebanese National News Agency, Shaker and his attorney requested that the session be held behind closed doors, thereby excluding journalists and unauthorized lawyers. The session lasted approximately two and a half hours, during which Shaker was questioned regarding the four files.
The court announced that the witness hearings, including Ahmad Al-Asir, have been rescheduled to take place on February 12.
Background of the Case
Fadel Shaker, known for his distinctive voice, has been in the public eye since 2013 when he was accused of involvement in armed conflicts during security incidents in the Sidon region and the Lebanese mountains, leading to absence sentences against him. In recent years, Shaker had been residing in the Ain al-Hilweh refugee camp before recently surrendering to Lebanese authorities to pursue his case in military court.
