Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas announced on Monday the release of a draft constitution for the State of Palestine on an official online platform, initiating a public comment period of 60 days.
The decision aims to enhance citizen and institutional participation in the constitutional drafting process by inviting feedback and suggestions to promote transparency and societal involvement.
The Constitutional Commission, responsible for drafting the document, reported that it worked for seven months and held approximately 70 meetings, adhering to principles of separation of powers and pluralistic governance to ensure institutional stability and respect for citizens' rights.
