Nuclear Talks Between Washington and Tehran Stalled Over Format Disputes

Officials stated that Iran has requested a change in the location and format of the talks from Istanbul to Muscat, which the United States has rejected, emphasizing that any modifications must occur within the framework established earlier.
In response, the U.S. special envoy confirmed that Washington remains willing to meet with Iranian representatives, provided that the original negotiation terms are upheld. He warned that failure to reach an understanding could lead the United States to consider alternative options.
Iran, for its part, insists that future discussions should focus solely on its nuclear program and the lifting of sanctions, refusing to expand the dialogue to other topics.
