Israel Resumes Natural Gas Deliveries to Egypt Following Maintenance

Israeli government sources announced on Saturday that natural gas deliveries to Egypt have resumed at a volume of up to 1.1 billion cubic feet per day, after maintenance work was completed.

A spokesperson indicated that the supply has returned to full capacity from the Tamar and Leviathan fields, which are among Israel's key gas reserves in the eastern Mediterranean.

This resumption is expected to enhance Egypt's energy supply, particularly in light of rising local gas demand and the need to support liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports.

The development is part of the ongoing energy cooperation between Cairo and Tel Aviv, which is integrated into a broader network linking Eastern Mediterranean countries with European markets, reinforcing the region's role as a significant gas production and export hub.
