Egyptian Artist Zeina Sparks Controversy with Bold Social Media Message

Egyptian artist Zeina has stirred significant controversy on social media after posting a bold and enigmatic message on her official Instagram account. In her post, she criticizes what she describes as the "change of souls" and negative intentions, without naming specific individuals, leading to speculation and inquiries among her followers.
In her message, Zeina stated:
“Times have changed, and making mistakes is often seen as necessary to please certain people... I will not change my principles, no matter what happens, and I will bear the consequences of my positions alone.”
The post quickly garnered attention, with some interpreting it as a protest against evolving standards within the artistic community, while others viewed it as a reflection of Zeina's personal experiences, especially given her lack of clarification regarding the individuals she may be addressing.
This message coincides with Zeina's involvement in her latest dramatic series, "Wird und Schokolade," which features a cast of notable stars, including Mohamed Farag, Mariam El Khosht, Morad Makram, Safaa El Toukhi, Maha Nassar, Mohamed Suleiman, Amr Mahdi, Bassam Raga, Youssef Hashish, and Aya Salim. The series is written by Mohamed Raga and directed by Mohamed Adel.
In previous statements, Zeina has clarified that the title of the series does not necessarily reflect her true character. She pointed out that while the work may initially appear romantic, with themes of love and tenderness, it delves into more complex and realistic details that reveal a different side of the events and characters involved.
Balancing mystery with transparency, Zeina continues to draw attention, reaffirming her commitment to her principles even if it leads to controversy.
