Zelensky Highlights Risks to Nuclear Energy Security from Russia, Urges Action from Allies

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned today, Saturday, that Russian assaults on nuclear energy facilities in Ukraine present a critical threat not only to Ukraine but also to regional and European security.

In an official address concerning the ongoing conflict, Zelensky urged the United States and European nations to respond thoughtfully to what he termed Russian interference in Ukraine's nuclear energy security. He called for decisive actions that reflect the seriousness of the situation.

The president also stressed the importance of international partners taking Ukraine's pragmatic proposals for ending the war seriously, reiterating that Kyiv is open to solutions that ensure its security and sovereignty.
