Early today, an Israeli military operation in Beit Jann, located in the Damascus countryside, has drawn widespread condemnation from various Arab nations and regional groups. The attack reportedly resulted in the deaths of 13 civilians and left 25 others injured, including women and children, leading to a significant displacement of residents towards neighboring villages.

The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement expressing strong condemnation of the Israeli actions, emphasizing solidarity with Syria and its people.

Similarly, the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs denounced what it termed the "blatant aggression" against Beit Jann, labeling it a serious violation of Syria's sovereignty and a breach of international humanitarian law.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan highlighted the necessity of respecting Syria's territorial integrity and called for support for the country's recovery and stability.

In a related response, Hamas characterized the incident as a "criminal Zionist aggression," pointing to the civilian casualties, including children, and describing it as part of a broader pattern of aggression against Arab nations.

The Israeli military stated that the operation was aimed at apprehending individuals linked to the "Islamic group" and claimed that its forces came under fire, resulting in injuries to six soldiers, including two officers. They noted that air support was deployed to strike multiple locations within the town, and the injured were subsequently transferred to Israeli hospitals.

Reports from Hebrew media indicated that an Israeli military vehicle experienced a malfunction within Syrian territory during the operation, necessitating heavy air cover for its security.

The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the Israeli actions as a "criminal assault" and described the subsequent shelling as a "complete war crime," following the massacre of innocent civilians and the resulting displacement due to intense bombardment of residential areas.
