UN Reports Only 25% of Funding Secured for Syria's Humanitarian Response Plan

UN estimates indicate that the plan requires $3.19 billion to provide aid to approximately 10.3 million individuals within Syria. However, current funding levels range from 11% to 25% of this total, according to reports from various UN agencies.
This significant funding deficit is obstructing the execution of relief initiatives, particularly in critical sectors such as health, food, water, and shelter. The situation is further compounded by an ongoing economic crisis and deteriorating infrastructure.
The United Nations has called on the international community to take immediate action to address the funding shortfall, warning that millions of Syrians, especially in the northwest, are facing a harsh winter without essential protection and support.
