Lebanese President Joseph Aoun stated on Saturday that Lebanon will submit an official complaint to the United Nations Security Council concerning Israel's construction of a concrete wall that extends beyond the blue line in southern Lebanon, which he described as a significant violation of Lebanese sovereignty.

Aoun emphasized that the ongoing Israeli presence in Lebanese territory and the wall's construction contravene UN Resolution 1701, which mandates a halt to hostilities and adherence to recognized international borders.

He noted that the wall restricts local residents' access to approximately 4,000 square meters of their agricultural and residential land, heightening border tensions and posing a threat to regional stability.

These remarks come as Lebanon raises concerns over Israeli expansion in border regions, amid international appeals for compliance with UN resolutions and calls to prevent further escalation.
