The UAE has expressed its support for the recent announcement of discussions between the United States and Iran taking place in the Sultanate of Oman. The UAE views this initiative as a constructive development that underscores both international and regional efforts to promote dialogue and alleviate escalating tensions.

Praise for Oman's Role in Mediation

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs commended Oman’s role in facilitating a favorable environment for dialogue among the involved parties. In a statement released by the official Emirates News Agency "WAM", the ministry noted that Oman’s hosting of these discussions showcases its capacity as a trusted mediator, contributing to improved regional and international understanding while supporting security and stability efforts.

Emphasis on Diplomacy for Conflict Resolution

The UAE reiterated its belief that dialogue, de-escalation, adherence to international laws, and respect for state sovereignty are vital for addressing regional conflicts. The country reaffirmed its commitment to resolving disputes through diplomatic means and peaceful solutions.

Anticipation for Positive Outcomes

The UAE expressed optimism that these discussions will yield positive outcomes that bolster de-escalation initiatives in the region, thereby reinforcing the foundations of security and stability and contributing to peace efforts on both regional and international fronts.
