Recent Israeli military actions near the town of Beit Jinn in southern Syria have led to casualties and the displacement of local residents, as reported by Syrian media.

Reports indicate that an Israeli operation from Beit Jinn towards Beit Jinn Farm resulted in the deaths of nine individuals and injuries to several others. The area has also seen increased Israeli drone activity.

The media noted that drone flights were concentrated along the road linking Beit Jinn and Beit Jinn Farm amid rising tensions, prompting many families to flee to nearby areas perceived as safer due to fears of further military actions.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the operation in a statement released by spokesperson Avichai Adraee, stating that it was conducted overnight in the village of Beit Jinn.

According to the IDF, the operation aimed to apprehend individuals suspected of affiliations with what they termed an "Islamic group organization." This action followed intelligence gathered over several weeks indicating plans for attacks against Israeli civilians.

The IDF reported that its forces encountered gunfire during the operation, resulting in injuries to six soldiers of varying severity.

Adraee stated that the operation concluded successfully, with all targeted individuals apprehended and several militants neutralized. He emphasized that IDF forces remain deployed in the area and will continue operations against perceived threats.

These military actions are part of a broader pattern of Israeli operations across Syria in 2025, aimed at countering threats and protecting the Druze community near the border. Syrian authorities have reported that these strikes have resulted in casualties among their military personnel.
