Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated today, Saturday, that the country firmly opposes the removal of enriched uranium from its territory. He also expressed Iran's readiness to lower its uranium enrichment levels as part of any serious agreement that respects its national interests.
During indirect negotiations held in Muscat, Oman, Araghchi emphasized that Iran does not seek a regional conflict, nor do neighboring countries wish to engage in a large-scale confrontation. He cautioned that any military action by the United States would significantly alter the regional landscape.
Araghchi noted his willingness to remain in Muscat for as long as necessary to achieve a substantive agreement quickly, adding that the location for the next round of discussions with Washington could change depending on the progress of the talks.
