Explosion at Jakarta School Injures 96; Investigation Underway

The number of individuals injured in the explosion at a school in Jakarta has increased to 96, according to a statement from local police on Monday.
Of those injured, 29 have been hospitalized for treatment, while others are receiving immediate care at the scene.
Budi Hermanto, head of the police public relations department, confirmed that preliminary investigations indicate a student may have orchestrated the explosion following experiences of bullying.
Police discovered an unidentified powder at the student's residence, which is currently under forensic examination, while the suspected individual remains in intensive care.
Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto suggested that the incident might be linked to the influence of violent video games on youth, as authorities seek to understand the motivations behind the act.
The explosion occurred on November 7 during prayer time at the mosque of High School Number 72. No fatalities have been reported so far, and security agencies are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, including the potential for it to be classified as a terrorist act, although no supporting evidence has been found to date.
This event has raised significant concerns regarding school safety and the effects of bullying and digital violence on students, prompting close scrutiny from both Indonesian authorities and parents.
