UN Reports Flooding in Gaza Displaces Families Amid Aid Restrictions

UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric reported today that heavy rainfall has inundated hundreds of tents and temporary shelters in the Gaza Strip, putting thousands of families at risk from harsh weather conditions due to insufficient infrastructure and limited humanitarian assistance.

Dujarric further stated that Israel has declined 23 requests to permit the entry of around 4,000 pallets of essential supplies into Gaza, including tents, which exacerbates the humanitarian crisis faced by civilians in the region.

In a related matter, Dujarric asserted that Israeli activities and construction on Lebanese territory violate Security Council Resolution 1701 and Lebanon's sovereignty, urging adherence to international law and calling for an end to actions that could further destabilize the area.
