Former Zamalek Star Mohamed Sabry Dies in Tragic Accident

Mohamed Sabry, a former player for Zamalek Club and prominent broadcaster on the club's channel, died today, Friday, in a tragic accident in the Fifth Settlement area east of Cairo. He was 51 years old.
Sabry was a key figure at Zamalek, starting his career with the first team in 1994 under the late coach Mahmoud El-Gohary. He played for the club until 2003, during which he won a total of 11 championships.
Known for his powerful shots, Sabry earned the nickname "The Cannon". He made a memorable impact in derby matches, including a notable goal against Ahmed Shobeir and another against Essam El-Hadary during the 1998-1999 season.
After 13 years with Zamalek, Sabry moved on to play for Kazma Club in Kuwait and later Al-Ittihad Alexandria, where he retired in 2004 following a brief stint.
He then transitioned to sports media, becoming a prominent figure on the Zamalek Club channel, maintaining a close connection with the club throughout his life.
Born on April 7, 1974, in Belbeis, Sharqia Governorate, Sabry leaves behind a legacy in both sports and media that will be remembered by fans.
