Zelensky Warns of Nuclear Security Threats from Russia, Urges Action from Allies

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned on Saturday that Russian assaults on nuclear facilities in Ukraine constitute a serious threat that endangers not only his country but also regional and European security.

In remarks made during an official address regarding the ongoing conflict, Zelensky urged the United States and European nations to rationally address what he characterized as Russia's disregard for Ukraine's nuclear safety and to take concrete actions commensurate with the severity of the threat.

The Ukrainian leader also emphasized the importance of international partners taking Ukrainian proposals to end the war seriously, stating that Kyiv remains open to solutions that ensure its security and sovereignty.
