Yemen: 'Bouclier de la Patrie' Launches Security Operation to Recover Assets at Riyan Airport in Mukalla

In an effort to bolster security and stability, the "Bouclier de la Patrie" forces in Yemen have commenced a comprehensive security operation to recover assets and weapons that were looted from Riyan Airport in Mukalla during recent unrest in the city.
The command of the forces has confirmed that the operation is being conducted under the guidance and support of local authorities in Hadramout province, with the goal of preventing further looting and disorder while establishing comprehensive security.
The operation has resulted in the seizure of significant quantities of heavy weapons, military equipment, and ammunition, along with other state-owned property.
As part of enhancing security coordination, a meeting was held in Mukalla, chaired by Major General Salim Ahmed Basloom, head of the military’s second region, to discuss cooperation mechanisms between local brigades and the "Bouclier de la Patrie" forces along the Hadramout coast. The meeting underscored the importance of coordinated efforts to maintain security, stabilize the region, and normalize public life.
A new contingent of the "Bouclier de la Patrie" forces also arrived in Aden this morning, collaborating with local brigades to protect vital institutions. Journalists have reported stable conditions in the city for the third consecutive day, with the activation of counter-terrorism measures to ensure safety.
The forces stated that their missions in Aden include enhancing security and stability, safeguarding institutions and property, and affirming the state’s presence across all sites. This is part of a structured plan that adheres to high standards of discipline and preparedness, in full coordination with relevant authorities and under the directives of the supreme commander of the armed forces.
This security campaign is part of ongoing efforts to ensure public safety and reinforce stability in Hadramout and Aden, amid the state's commitment to preventing disorder and protecting public and private assets.
