Washington Expresses Support for Iranians Amid Protests, Trump Issues Warning

Internet Shutdown and Protest Suppression
The U.S. stance arises amid widespread unrest in Iran, with Western accusations suggesting that authorities are trying to isolate protesters from the outside world by disrupting communications, alongside security campaigns aimed at quelling ongoing demonstrations.
Trump Issues Direct Warning to Tehran
In a notable escalation, President Donald Trump issued a new warning to Iranian leaders on Friday, stating:
“You better not start shooting, because we will shoot back.”
This statement reflects an increasing hardline rhetoric from Washington regarding internal developments in Iran and their regional implications.
Iran Responds from the Security Council
In response, Iranian Ambassador to the United Nations, Amir Saeed Iravani, held the United States responsible for what he termed the transformation of peaceful protests into acts of violence and large-scale vandalism. During a session of the International Security Council, Iravani condemned the “illegal and irresponsible” behavior of the U.S., accusing Washington, in coordination with Israel, of interfering in Iran's internal affairs through “threats, incitement, and encouragement of destabilization.”
