Controversy Surrounds Tottenham's Thomas Frank Over Arsenal Mug Incident

In a situation raising eyebrows among football fans, Thomas Frank, manager of Tottenham Hotspur, was spotted holding a mug displaying the logo of arch-rivals Arsenal during his team's match against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.
The image quickly circulated on social media, prompting fans to question why he was using an Arsenal mug.
Frank responded promptly in the post-match press conference, labeling the ensuing speculation as "completely absurd."
He stated: "I certainly didn’t notice it, and it would be absolute madness to intentionally hold a mug with the Arsenal logo. It’s just an ordinary mug for drinking espresso before the match, and it was in the dressing room after Arsenal's last game."
On the pitch, Tottenham suffered a 3-2 defeat after initially taking the lead with a goal from Mathys Tel in the fifth minute.
However, Bournemouth turned the game around with two goals from Evangelista and Elie Junior Kroubi, before João Palhinha equalized with a stunning overhead kick in the 78th minute.
In the dying seconds, Antoine Semenyo scored the winning goal for Bournemouth, just ahead of his anticipated transfer to Manchester City.
This defeat leaves Tottenham struggling at the start of the 2026 season, still without a victory, and sitting in 14th place in the Premier League with 27 points, having won only twice in their last 12 matches.
The team's next challenge will be at home against Aston Villa in the FA Cup on Saturday, followed by a league match against West Ham United the following week.
All eyes will remain on Frank and the Arsenal mug as Tottenham aims to regain its footing this season.
