Russian Envoy Kirill Dmitriev: Trump’s Policies Helped Mitigate Risk of World War III

Kirill Dmitriev, Russia's special envoy for investment and economic cooperation, stated today that U.S. foreign policies under President Donald Trump have contributed to lowering the risk of a third world war.
In a message on the social media platform "X", he wrote: "In reality, a third world war has been avoided, and it will continue to be avoided thanks to President Trump and his team."
Dmitriev also discussed Trump's stance on the Ukrainian crisis, emphasizing that the U.S. president had clarified "the issue of power balance ahead of a potential resolution to the conflict."
This statement follows a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump in Alaska on August 15, where both leaders described their discussions as "positive" and focused on finding a resolution to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
Dmitriev's remarks represent one of the most significant public evaluations from a Kremlin official linking U.S. policy under Trump to a reduction in the risk of large-scale global escalation.
